The production methods of fiberglass adhesive coating board equipment are basically divided into two categories, namely wet touch type and dry pressure forming.
According to the characteristics of the process, it can be divided into hand lay-up molding, laminated molding, RTM method, extrusion molding, molding, surround molding, etc.
Hand layup molding includes hand layup method, bag pressing method, spray method, wet layup low-pressure method, and mold free hand layup method. Currently, there are four most commonly used molding methods in the world.
Hand layup method: The primary countries used include Norway, Japan, the United Kingdom, Denmark, etc.
Spray method: The primary countries used include Sweden, the United States, Norway, etc.
Mold pressing method: The primary application countries include Germany and others.
FTM method: The primary application countries include European, American, and Japanese countries.
More than 90% of FRP products in China are produced by hand layup method, while others include molding method, wrapping method, lamination method, etc. (see Chapter 11). The hand layup method in Japan still accounts for 50%. From the perspective of various countries around the world, the hand layup method still accounts for an appropriate proportion, indicating that it still has vitality. The characteristic of hand layup method is the use of wet resin molding, simple equipment, low cost, and the ability to lay products over 10m in one go.
